May 2025 – December 2025

2025 marked the first year of operation for Epirus DAO. Within eight months, an active community was formed, public and private initiatives were organized, educational efforts were launched, and the foundations for a sustainable blockchain-centered ecosystem were established.

The year was defined by in-person presence, organizational structure, and steady growth.

Ecosystem & Structure

In May, epirusdao.com was launched, the Litepaper was published, and the initial governance frameworks were defined. At the same time, core communication channels were established, including the Discord server and social media presence.

The focus during this phase was on operational clarity and strategic direction, ensuring that every action moving forward would be built on a coherent foundation.

Blockchain Ioannina Event

June 18, 2025

The Blockchain Ioannina Event was the largest initiative of 2025. It was hosted at JOIST Innovation Space with free entry and the support of Bitget Academy.

Speakers represented communities such as Bitget, Avalanche, Cardano, and Skatehive. The event contributed significantly to the total annual physical attendance of approximately 150 participants.

The gathering connected professionals, developers, investors, and local citizens with the broader blockchain ecosystem and opened discussion around real-world applications of decentralized technologies.

Meetups & Community

Throughout 2025, six in-person meetups were organized. The public meetups in Ioannina, Preveza, and Athens strengthened the DAO’s cross-regional presence and created space for meaningful discussions around DAOs, decentralized applications, and collaboration opportunities.

The three members-only meetups focused on strategic direction, governance tools, and the shaping of future initiatives. Additionally, two online meetups were held, allowing participation from members outside local geographic boundaries.

Media & Public Presence

Epirus DAO appeared on two YouTube programs during 2025.

Haris Housos was featured on the Blockchain Times TV podcast in a discussion with Vasilis Pazopoulos about the future of DAOs and the evolution of the organization.

Spiros Bounas participated in a live broadcast on Crypto Nea, presenting the vision and strategic direction of the DAO.

These appearances contributed to broader recognition at a national level.

Epirus DAO at BCA College | December 20, 2025

On Saturday, December 20, 2025, Epirus DAO participated in an educational seminar at BCA College titled “DAO, Communities & Web3 Branding.”

The founder of Epirus DAO, Spiros Bounas, presented DAOs as modern organizational models and explained how a community can be structured, activated, and evolved within the blockchain ecosystem. The presentation was based on real operational experience, covering governance, participation, communication, and brand development.

This participation reinforced the educational orientation of Epirus DAO and its commitment to supporting knowledge and meaningful community building.

Onboarding & Practical Adoption

During 2025:

  • 18 new wallets were created through direct guidance and support from the team.
  • Three businesses were onboarded to accept crypto payments.

The businesses are not publicly disclosed at this stage; however, their integration represents a concrete step toward real-world adoption.

Presence in the Broader Ecosystem

September 5 – XRPL Meetup, Thessaloniki

Members of Epirus DAO attended the XRPL Meetup in Thessaloniki. The event featured presentations on onchain finance, tokenization, and real-world DeFi applications, along with extensive networking with developers and founders. This participation strengthened the DAO’s connection with the broader Greek blockchain ecosystem.

Participation in X Spaces & DAO Discussions

Throughout 2025, members of Epirus DAO actively participated in X Spaces and public discussions organized by other communities and DAOs, including OdyC DAO. These contributions helped build bridges between communities and expanded the DAO’s presence in the digital public dialogue.

ETH Greece Meetup – Athens

Community members attended the first ETH Greece meetup hosted at the WeatherXM offices in Athens. The event brought together builders, professionals, and members of the Greek Ethereum and Web3 community.
The session focused on team building and organizational growth in the blockchain sector, led by Web3 HR specialist Manto Vougadi.

Participation in such initiatives strengthens the DAO’s ongoing connection with the evolving Web3 landscape in Greece.

Year in Review

2025 laid the organizational and community foundations of Epirus DAO. A physical presence was established across multiple cities, educational content was developed, meaningful wallet onboardings were completed, and the first steps toward business adoption were taken.

This year served as the starting point. The outcomes of this foundational phase are expected to become more visible in upcoming reports as the community continues to expand and mature.
